Jay Rapp

Managing Director

Jay Rapp is an experienced leader and educator with a proven track record for providing quality professional development for independent school administrators, including training aspiring and newly appointed leaders. In addition, Jay spent numerous years working with schools in equity and inclusion, co-leading NAIS’s Diversity Leadership Institute.  Jay currently serves as a faculty member of the Diversity Leadership Institute and has worked with and consulted with various schools, locally and nationally during his time at NAIS. Jay is also a trained and certified executive coach. 

Jay has served as board member and board chair of the Lowell School in Washington D.C. and is currently a board member for the Friends Council on Education. Before his role at Mehtacognition, Jay worked for NAIS as Director of Programs for Equity and Justice and finished his almost 20-year tenure as Vice President for Professional Development. Most recently Jay worked at Brooklyn Friends School overseeing alumni relations.
